The Whippy TempoMaster

If you really want to feel what it is like to swing the golf club instead of hitting with your hands then The Whippy TempoMaster is what you need.

It works.

It is the only training aid that will force you to feel the swing. Feel is the only thing you have to work with.

Frequently I get asked to try out different training tools, clubs, alignment aids, you name it. I have been using the Whippy TempoMaster for longer than I can remember. It is the first club out in the spring as I begin thinking about playing golf. I use it religiously to get rid of my winter stiffness. The clubs go with me to the range before a round and I use them around the house in between golf days to keep my swing fluid and in touch with my body.

I am using differnt Whippy's for the different aspects of my game, driving, mid-irons, and my short game. If you want to know the feel of a great swing, improve you ball contact, and overall play better golf I can recommend the Whippy TempoMaster 100%!!

Models Available

The Whippy TempoMaster Elite Driver.
NEW! This new driver is a hybrid of the original Whippy 190cc driver and the 260cc driver. We have tested the 260cc and the 290cc at length and have determined that, although easy and fun to it, it was too easy to hit. The new Whippy TempoMaster Elite is 230cc which is fun to hit and, with its new size, allows for better feel and performance when hitting balls.

Long Irons
The Whippy TempoMaster is available in the most difficult to hit irons. The 2-Iron and 3-iron. As intimidating as these are to hit in your regular clubs, you may ask yourself why would I get one with a Whippy shaft? The answer is simple. To learn to hit it. The majority of mis hits in these clubs is a result of over swinging for distance as well as trying to scoop the ball with your hands to get it airborn. Hitting balls with a Whippy 2 or 3 iron will make you realize that all you need to do is swing the club head and let the loft of the club do the work as it was designed. It's actually a lot of fun.

Mid Irons
The Whippy TempoMaster is also available in some of the most popular irons the 4 -iron, 5-iron and 6-iron. We have seen over the years that the 5-iron is by far the most popular of all training clubs but we have also seen that golfers do enjoy training with a 6-iron and even the 4-iron. Instead of making just one club, we have decided to make all clubs available to accomodate each and every players training preferences.

Wedges
When it really counts. The Short Game. There is nothing more fun than practicing around the green with a Whippy TempoMaster. What a great way to get a feel for how to hit different shots. The bump and run, a flop shot, or just a regular old chip shot wether it be a long one a short one. This, in a lot of pro's opinion, is where the rubber meets the road. We should be be selling The Whippy Wedge more than any other club due to its inherent ability to teach the golfer how to feel the club head swinging on the end of the shaft. There is no other club in the bag that cuases a golfer to want to hit wih the hands. Trust your shoulder turn and trust the loft of the club. Don't help it. It'll do the work for you so just let it swing. If you want to lower your scores, you need a Whippy Wedge or Sand Wedge. John Redman has always told me that the most valuable clubs we have are the Pitching Wedge and the Sand Wedge.

The Whippy TempoMaster was formally introduced at the Orlando PGA Show in 1992

The Whippy TempoMaster, that is what Dr. Melvin, the inventor, named it, was introduced at the PGA show in Orlando with outstanding success. “Our booth was one of the busiest booths at the show and, at this time, The whippy was not being advertised on TV”. Rather, it was well known and coveted by teaching pros due to the number of clubs in circulation and the reputation The Whippy has earned prior to the show.

We sold out our entire show inventory in the first two hours. Once we returned back to the shop in Dallas, TX, we had our hands full filling orders from the show. The majority of the s ales at the show were to teaching and touring professionals of all tours men and women. We sent over 40 putters out to players on the PGA, LPGA, and the then Nike tour the first day of the show. It appeared that these players and coaches were specifically looking for us and The Whippy at the show.

The Whippy TempoMaster was the only golf training club in "Golf Illustrated’s" “10 best training devices”. Currently, The Whippy is being used by countless number of active touring and long drive professionals as well as countless amateur golfers of all skill levels in order to develop and/or maintain their golf swing.

It is the only training device that I know of that touring professionals will actually purchase. After all, it’s one of the few golf training clubs on the market that you can actually hit balls with. This, in itself, makes The Whippy “The most effective golf training club available today”. --- Dr. John N. Melvin
