Write it Down!
Do leave some shots short of your target? Many players will probably learn something about their game if they took along a small spiral notepad and wrote down the results of their shots. This doesn't really take that much time and can easily be done while you are waiting to tee off for the next hole.What you might find after writing in your notepad after several rounds is that while you hit a solid shot you still ending up short of your target. Sure, we had all had times when we hit that monster shot that traveled farther than we expected. But for most of us it might be wiser to play the averages. If you find you are coming up short, take one more club and swing with a smooth fluid motion. Remember, we call it the "golf swing" not the "golf hit".
Once you have charted several rounds you will be in a position to really know what club to swing to get the results you want.
