Putting
Are you a good putter? Do you have confidience? Well being a good putter requires a bit of confidence. If you want to get off to a fast start and boost your confidence then you will likely want to make a few putts early in your round.
If you are limited for time here is a specific warm up drill to get you that fast start. Place a club about one and a half feet behind the hole. Then try hitting a half dozens putts from 10 feet, then move back to 20 feet, and then to thirty feet.
Your goal is to get the ball past the hole but not past the club you laid on the ground. If the ball goes in the hole, that is a bonus, but any ball past the hole but not past the club is a winner.
This practice session will get you to focus on the speed of the greens for today. You will also have the confidence to make a good stroke on the ball during your round. Remember that the ball doesn't go in the hole is the ball doesn't get to the hole.
